Zip-line

The Lawrence Hidden Valley Committee, Inc. approved the installation of two zip-lines on the property as part of their effort to support Girl Scouting in Douglas County. Girls are looking for outdoor adventure and activities, and these challenges are great for learning and personal growth.

A donation was made to Hidden Valley and the board decided a zip-line would be a great use of the funds and in June 2009 began training and use. Facilitator training and maintenance of the equipment require continued funding which is partially covered by the rental fees. Facilitators are volunteers who are professionally trained and then supervised by LHVC for the safety of the girls on the property.

If you are a registered Girl Scout Troop in Douglas County and would like to use the zip-line at Hidden Valley, complete the reservation form (coming soon). Every effort will be made to match you with the required two trained facilitators. If you would like to take the training and be on the Zip Team, please contact us. The training will be the first weekend in June 2010.

REMEMBER: No one will be allowed to participate who has not completed the required "Zip-line Liability Release Form".
